Not all mothers have the perfect family or life . . . really nobody does. Mothers can be married, single, divorced, or widowed. Each situation and mother is unique–hence our newest post. We want to address as many areas (outside of our own) as we can to encourage as many mothers as possible.
Below is a post from a good friend of ours; she wishes to remain nameless. She wants to share part of her healing journey in hopes of encouraging others. As always feel free to comment and share this post. If this encourages you please let her know by commenting below.
We love you,

Mending Broken Hearts
Today my baby girl turns 9 months. I’m amazed at her growth, how big her smile is, how bright her eyes are, and of course the little baby talk she now utters. One of those words of course is Da-Da and then my heart hurts a little on the inside. Just a little. It hurts because her dad is not active in her life. He does not want to see her at this time. We divorced when she was just 7 months old…after 7 years of marriage. Yep you read that right. Now before you begin to feel sorry for me, join me in believing that God is and always will be our Counselor. He is our strength and comfort and I choose to remember He is with me in the middle of the night when she’s crying, or when she’s teething and irritable, or when she wants someone to hold her. I choose to remember that I can turn to Him in my time of trouble as I’m getting bill after bill in the mail. I can turn to Him when I am weak, too weak to get out of bed, barely making it to work. I know he intercedes with and for me. For my kids. For you.
I’m not sure if you are also in a new season but I thank God that you are reading this. I thank God that He is our advocate and fights for us when we can’t fight ourselves. Please join me in praying…
Dear Lord,
Thank you for fighting on my behalf, thank you for giving me wise counsel. I need your help as I enter this new season. I need your guidance as I go each day through this new valley. I sometimes get scared but then I remember you have not given me a spirit of fear but a spirit of love, power, and a sound mind. A sound mind. A sound mind. A sound mind. Please continue to give me Your peace every time I try to understand what is happening. Peace. Your peace.
In Jesus name,
Amen
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. -Romans 8:26 NIV
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. -Psalms 34:18 NIV
